Looking for a 2 in 1 good for travel and editing YouTube videos which one is better dell xps 13 2 In 1 or HP specter x360 15

    1. Mike Johnson says:

The HP Spectre x360 15 would be a better option because it is available with more powerful specs than the XPS 13 2-in-1 laptop.

Hi there! I’m looking for a video editing laptop to use Adobe after effects on. I’d also be using it for school and some gaming like Minecraft. I’m preferably looking for something under $1500 and leaning towards The hp spectre x360 15, hp omen 15 and ASUS ROG Zephyus G14. I’m new when it comes to laptops so I was wondering if these were good options?

    1. Mike Johnson says:

      Hi Emily,
I think you are on a right track. The ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 and HP OMEN 15 (AMD) are pretty solid options for what you are planning to do on your laptop. You can spec it pretty well for around $1200 and they both deliver fantastic performance and battery life. The HP Spectre x360 15 is also good option but it’s expensive and the performance that you get for the buck you pay does not speak value according to me, but it’s a lot more premium feeling laptop than the other two we are discussing. Nonetheless build quality of all three is great.

  3. Andy says:

The weight of the ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 is wrong in the top comparision table, it does not weight 5.9 lbs, more like 3.6.

    1. Mike Johnson says:

Thanks for the heads up Andy. We’ve corrected it.

    Hey Mike,

I’m currently looking for a laptop around $700 for editing video and photo without any lag with a smooth rendering. What laptop would you recommend ? And, do you think that for a beginner MacBook Air is enough for editing video and photos?

    1. Mike Johnson says:

MacBook Air is enough for beginner-level editing work if you do it with patience. If you are looking for a Windows alternative to it, then Acer predator Helios 300 is excellent option. However, don’t expect its battery to last for a long time. For around $700, there is HP Pavilion 15 and the MSI GV62 8RD gaming laptops. You will find them in our guide to buy the laptops under $700 here.

I need a new computer for editing my videos. I use Adobe Premier and I plan to stream some games as well as a few other hobbies like audio recording and music production. Im thinking of the ASUS ROG Strix Scar Edition, any input?

    1. Mike Johnson says:

ASUS ROG Strix is indeed a great option but for about $100 more you can get the 2019 Acer Predator Helios 300 (PH315-52-78VL) which comes with the newest 9th Gen Intel Core i7 processor and Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 Ti GPU which is a great value for $1200.
